These days we have so many barbecue sauce options to choose from that it could make any pit master dizzy. I have always been a fan of the sweeter sauces like Sonny’s and a big fan of hot and sweet. I attended a festival in early 2010 and I had some extra food tickets left so I purchased an exotic sauce and I was hooked to it.

In 1999 Darden Restaurants started opening up Smokey Bones Barbecue Restaurants all over the place and in 2007 Sun Capital Partners purchased the chain from Darden. SB’s has always had a cool log cabin theme but the sports bar atmosphere direction that the new ownership has taken makes the place fun. There is a big debate on whether Brunswick Stew originated in Georgia or Virginia well today it doesn’t matter because we are making it in Orlando. We had a BBQ and cooked way too much chicken and pork chops so I said to my BBQ buddy why don’t you pull out that crock pot and make some magic happen with these left overs. Pork loin has always been one of my favorite meats to throw on the grill and everyone knows that bone in cuts of meat have tons of flavor.
